I rarely write reviews but felt the need after my experience with Targa Florio Cars. An exceptional and professional experience from start to finish, ESPECIALLY after sales!
I purchased a 2017 Audi S3, 31k, full history which was priced very competitively. No need to haggle as it was a great price! I dealt with Tom who was friendly, professional and knowledgeable without being remotely pushy.
Tom met me from Chichester Station and took me to the showroom. I test drove the car, was all good so bought it.
On the drive home a warning light came on saying “Gearbox Malfunction continue driving and switch off when stopped” I called Tom when I got home and he, without hesitation, said to take the car into my local garage and see what the issue was, and not to worry as the issue would be rectified.
The issue was found to be the Mechatronic unit, which on research can be an issue at any mileage, and some owners have reported the failure after 500 miles. As the car came with an RAC warranty this SHOULD have been covered by that warranty but the RAC said that as the issue was discovered so early, it must have been a pre exciting fault.
I looked at the extensive check list the RAC insist the dealer does, and plugging the car into diagnostics is NOT one of them and this would be the only way to establish this fault.
Fearing I would now be facing a bill into thousands, I spoke with Tom who again could not have been more helpful. The RAC refused to budge and Tom paid for the repair at my local VAG Independent garage.
Tom liaised with the garage directly and they also sang the praises of Tom and Targa Florio Cars for the contact and very prompt payment to them.
I would highly recommend purchasing a car from Tom and Targa Florio cars.
